What is Trap Shooting?

Participants take five shots at each of five stations, shooting at clay targets thrown from a trap house 16 yards out. Rising clays fly at varying angles and speeds. Trap variations include Doubles, where two targets are thrown simultaneously along predetermined, fixed flight paths; and Handicap, where shooters stand 19 to 27 yards away from the trap, depending on their ability.
