When to Start Your Mock Scrape

If you want to start a mock scrape the best time is July.  By starting early you are allowing deer, both bucks and does, to start using it and keep using it throughout your hunting season.  Start off using a non-dominant lure but switch over to a dominant lure during the rut to attract older, bigger and more aggressive bucks.
