Living the Dream 24/7 is a charitable, non-profit 501(c)(3) organization, that provides once-in-a-lifetime dream hunting and fishing trips to deserving individuals who, through some personal trial, may not otherwise have the opportunity. Through these adventures, and exposure to outdoors-minded people who care, the program instills a message of encouragement at a time when they need to know that hope does, indeed, exist.
(The term charitable includes relief of the poor, the distressed, or the underprivileged; advancement of religion; advancement of education or science; erecting or maintaining public buildings, monuments, or works; lessening the burdens of government; lessening neighborhood tensions; eliminating prejudice and discrimination; defending human and civil rights secured by law; and combating community deterioration and juvenile delinquency.)
On each trip, the candidate and the family members who accompany them are surrounded by outdoors-minded people who understand that these people are often “…sick and tired of being sick and tired!” A designated “Living the Dream” host accompanies each family and together, with outfitters and local volunteers, facilitate their dream experience, love and nurture them through the strong personal relationships that are forged in the lodge, on the stream or in the woods. Candidates, their hosts and volunteers often become best of friends and remain close long after the dream trip has concluded. As one volunteer eloquently stated, “Our guests routinely say we’re changing their lives; but in reality, they’re changing ours!” Many family members have confirmed that the mission is consistently accomplished!
